UNDERSTANDING AND UTILIZING ECG IN AYURVEDA

UNDERSTANDING AND UTILIZING ECG IN AYURVEDA

Views: 28 | Updated On: | By Dr. Rachana Jangir

In the present study a sincere attempt has been made towards positive correlation between the ECG pattern vis-à-vis Dosic phenomenon. For example-

P wave- Depolarization of auricles. (Urdhva Prakosta Sankoca, due to Rajo-gunadhikya)

QRS wave- Depolarization of ventricles. (Adhah Prakosta Sankoca, due to Rajo-gunidhikya)

T-wave- Repolarization of ventricles (Adhah Prakosta Vikasa, due to Sattva-gunadhikya)

P-Q or P-R segment- Repolarization of auricles. (Urdhva Prakosta Vikasa, due to Sattwa-gunadhikaya)

T-P segment- It represents the Tamo-guna predominance.

Q-T segment- It also denotes the Tamo-guna predominance. In the above paras the role of "Trigunas' is thoroughly discussed. These three characteristics viz., Rajas-Sattva-Tamas in turn represents the Tri Dosas' Vata-pitta-kapha respectively. The same may further depicted more specifically as activities of Vyana vata, Sadhaka pitta and Avalambaka slesma respectively.

In the present context, Rajo-guna is considered as negative charge, Sattva-guna as positive charge and Tamo-guna as neutral charge. This view is substantiated from the concepts of 'depolarization' and 'repolarization' as described in the modern medicine.
