Tuberculosis-Introduction, types, causes, symptoms and treatment

Tuberculosis is a highly contagious disease that can cause debilitating symptoms. Timely treatment is the key to overcoming this condition. The World Health Organization(WHO) notes that tuberculosis is one of the top 10 causes of mortality worldwide, sometimes known as TB. According to the National Anti-TB Drug Resistance Study conducted by the Union Health Ministry in 2018, 423,000 people in India died from this illness, which predominantly targets the lungs. There were 1.8 million people affected by this illness overall that year.

Latent TB: In this condition, the germs are present in the body, but the immune system doesn’t let them spread. You are not contagious, nor do you have any symptoms. But, the bacteria might become active at any time, particularly if your immune system is already weak. Your immune system may be compromised by HIV or any other persistent infection.

Tuberculosis Symptoms

4. Backache, stiffness or even swelling in the back/groin (in case of spinal TB) Abdominal distension, constipation, and a non-healing anal fistula (in case of intestinal TB) Severe headache and altered senses (in case of brain TB).



Causes of Tuberculosis-

Germs grow in this situation, causing symptoms to appear. Anybody who has active TB has the potential to spread it. Experts claim that Germs flourish in this circumstance, causing symptoms to manifest. Anybody who has active TB has the potential to spread it. 90% of latent TB infections, according to experts, progress to active TB infections. of latent TB infections turn into active ones.
